THROUGH THE FLOWER CORP CO-SPONSORS WITH UNIVERSITIES AND NON-PROFIT ORGANIZATIONS VARIOUS EVENTS DURING THE YEAR INCLUDING PUBLIC LECTURES AND DISCUSSIONS. WE ALSO PARTNER WITH LOCAL UNIVERSITIES TO PROVIDE INTERNSHIP AND TRAINING OPPORTUNITIES. SINCE 2018 OUR ARTS GALLERY, THROUGH THE FLOWER ARTS SPACE, SERVES AS A CREATIVE HUB FOR LOCAL AND STATE RESIDENTS AS WELL AS WELL AS ATTRACTING NATIONAL AND INTERNATIONAL VISITORS. THE ARTS SPACE ALSO HOUSES A VIDEO AND BOOK LIBRARY WITH OVER 350 BOOKS ON THE ARTS AND WOMEN'S ISSUES. IN 2021 APPROXIMATELY 2,500 PEOPLE ATTENDED THE ARTS SPACE AND VARIOUS PUBLIC EVENTS. ALSO, THE ORGANIZATION HAS PARTNERED WITH THE UNIVERSITY OF NEW MEXICO, VALENCIA, WHICH HOUSES THE THROUGH THE FLOWER LIBRARY BY AND ABOUT WOMEN, A COLLECTION OF OVER 2,000 BOOKS DONATED BY THROUGH THE FLOWER. THROUGH THE FLOWER'S WEBSITE PROVIDES EDUCATIONAL RESOURCE MATERIAL AND INFORMATION USED BY THOUSANDS OF PEOPLE EACH YEAR.
THROUGH THE FLOWER HOSTS THE JUDY CHICAGO ART EDUCATION AWARD SUPPORTED BY OUR VARIOUS INSTITUTIONAL PARTNERS. IN 2021 THE ORGANIZATION AWARDED ONE GRANT OF $2,500.
