OUR MISSION IS TO PROMOTE AND PROVIDE A COMPREHENSIVE RESPONSE TO DOMESTIC VIOLENCE, STALKING_AND HUMAN TRAFFICING THROUGH COMMUNITY OUTREACH & EDUCATION, PREVENTION, INTERVENTION, CLIENT SUPPORT SERVICES AND SAFETY AND SHELTER SERVICES

RESIDENTIAL SERVICESWOMANHAVEN OPERATES THREE EMERGENCY SHELTERS ON A 24-HOUR BASIS WITH 41 BEDS TO PROVIDE SAFE AND CONFIDENTIAL_SHELTER_FOR ADULTS AND CHILD VICTIMS 0F DOMESTIC VIOLENCE. WOMANHAVEN'S SAFEHOUSE PROVIDED SAFE SHELTER TO ADULTS AND CHILDREN. THE SAFEHOUSE HAS_SEVEN UNITS OF TRANSITIONAL_HOUSING_CAPABLE OF HOUSING UP TO SEVEN VICTIMS WHO GRADUATED FROM THE SAFE HOUSE PROGRAM BUT STILL REQUIRE SAFE AND CONFIDENTIAL_HOUSING. WOMANHAVEN ALSO HAS AN EIGHT UNIT APARTMENT COMPLEX FOR EMERGENCY TRANSITIONAL HOUSING.


COUNSELINGWOMANHAVEN PROVIDES CRISIS INTERVENTION, THERAPEUTIC_COUNSELING, ADVOCACY AND SUPPORTIVE SERVICES TO DOMESTIC VIOLENCE VICTIMS THROUGH ITS 24-HOUR SUPPORT AND INFORMATION LINE AND COUNSELING PROGRAMS. DOMESTIC VIOLENCE VICTIMS RECEIVE COUNSELING. THE COUNSELORS PROVIDE REFERRALS T0 EXISTING SERVICES IN THE COMMUNITY TO CLIENTS. WOMANHAVEN ASSISTS CLIENTS WITH TEMPORARY RESTRAINING ORDERS. WOMANHAVEN HAS A HOTLINE WHICH RECEIVES CALLS FROM VICTOMS REQUESTING SHELTER.


BATTERER INTERVENTION CLASSESWOMANHAVEN PROVIDES BATTERER INTERVENTION CLASSES TO CHANGE OFFENDER THINKING AND BEHAVIOR WITH THE RESULT THAT OFFENDERS ARE HELD_ACCOUNTABLE AND VICTIM SAFETY IS ENHANCED AND TO DECREASE THE LIKEHOOD OF FURTHER VIOLENCE.
