OUR MISSION IS TO PROMOTE AND PROVIDE A COMPREHENSIVE RESPONSE TO DOMESTIC VIOLENCE, STALKING AND HUMAN TRAFFICING THROUGH COMMUNITY OUTREACH & EDUCATION, PREVENTION, INTERVENTION, CLIENT SUPPORT SERVICES; AND SAFETY AND SHELTER SERVICES

RESIDENTIAL SERVICES:WOMANHAVEN OPERATES THREE EMERGENCY SHELTERS ON A 24-HOUR BASIS WITH 41 BEDS TO PROVIDE SAFE AND CONFIDENTIAL SHELTER FOR ADULTS AND CHILD VICTIMS OF DOMESTIC VIOLENCE.DURING OUR FISCAL YEAR ENDED 6/30/2020, WOMANHAVEN'S SAFEHOUSE PROVIDED 8,432 BED NIGHTS OF SAFE SHELTER TO 125 ADULTS AND 129 CHILDREN. THE SAFEHOUSE EXPANDED IN 2007 WITH THE ADDITION OF SEVEN UNITS OF TRANSITIONAL HOUSING CAPABLE OF HOUSING UP TO SEVEN VICTIMS WHO GRADUATED FROM THE SAFEHOUSE PROGRAM BUT STILL REQUIRE SAFE AND CONFIDENTIAL HOUSING. IN THE FALL OF 2017, WOMANHAVEN RECEIVED A CALOES TRANSITIONAL HOUSING GRANT, WHICH FUNDS OUR 8 UNIT APARTMENT COMPLEXFOR EMERGENCY TRANSITIONAL HOUSING.
WOMANHAVEN PROVIDES CRISIS INTERVENTION, THERAPEUTIC COUNSELING, ADVOCACY,AND SUPPORTIVE SERVICES TO DOMESTIC VIOLENCE VICTIMS THROUGH ITS 24-HOUR SUPPORT AND INFORMATION LINE AND COUNSELING PROGRAMS. 1,180 DOMESTIC VIOLENCE VICTIMS RECEIVED COUNSELING AND ADVOCATES. THE COUNSELORS PROVIDED 1,592 REFERRALS TO EXISTING SERVICES IN THE COMMUNITY TO CLIENTS DURING FISCAL YEAR ENDING 6/30/2020. THE CENTER ASSISTED 166 CLIENTS WITH TEMPORARY RESTRAINING ORDERS LAST YEAR AND HAD APPROXIMATELY 2,062 HOTLINE CALLS AND 881 REQUESTS FOR SHELTER
IT IS MISSION OF BATTER INTERVENTION CLASSES TO CHANGE OFFENDER THINKING AND BEHAVIOR WITH THE RESULT THAT OFFENDERS ARE HELD ACCOUNTABLE AND VICTIM SAFETY IS ENHANCED AND TO DECREASE THE LIKEHOOD OF FURTHER VIOLENCE
