THE CORE SERVICES OF CENTER FOR DOMESTIC PEACE INCLUDE AN EMERGENCY SHELTER, 24/7 HOTLINES, TRANSITIONAL HOUSING, SUPPORT GROUPS, ADVOCACY, A CHILDREN AND YOUTH INITIATIVE, AND PROGRAMS FOR MEN AND WOMEN WHO HAVE BEEN VIOLENT (MANKIND AND WOMANKIND). THESE CORE SERVICES PROMOTE THE SAFETY AND EMPOWERMENT OF DOMESTIC VIOLENCE VICTIMS. DURING FY 20/21, THESE PROGRAMS PROVIDED SERVICES TO MORE THAN 2,700 UNDUPLICATED INDIVIDUALS AS FOLLOWS: 1. ANSWERED 7,274 HOTLINE CALLS, PROVIDING SAFETY PLANNING, EMOTIONAL SUPPORT, REFERRALS, AND INFORMATION. 2. PROVIDED EMERGENCY SHELTER FOR 76 VICTIMS AND 63 CHILDREN AND DEPENDENTS FOR A TOTAL OF 1,873 BEDNIGHTS, ALONG WITH OTHER SUPPORTIVE SERVICES SUCH AS FOOD, TRANSPORTATION, CLOTHING, AND OTHER BASIC NECESSITIES. 3. PROVIDED TRANSITIONAL HOUSING VIA 21 SEPARATE UNITS TO 34 ADULTS AND 70 CHILDREN AND DEPENDENTS FOR A TOTAL OF 20,567 BEDNIGHTS, TOGETHER WITH ECONOMIC SELF-SUFFICIENCY PLANNING AND ACTIVITIES, OCCUPATIONAL EMPOWERMENT, CASE MANAGEMENT, AND ASSISTANCE IN SECURING PERMANENT LONG-TERM HOUSING. 4. PROVIDED RAPID REHOUSING ASSISTANCE TOWARD OBTAINING AND MAINTAINING PERMANENT HOUSING TO 50 ADULTS AND 54 CHILDREN. 5. PROVIDED ADVOCACY AND ASSISTANCE WITHIN THE LEGAL AND CRIMINAL JUSTICE SYSTEM TO 440 INDIVIDUALS THROUGH 5,102 SESSIONS. 6. OPERATED MARIN YOUTH SERVICES AND TRANSFORMING COMMUNITIES: MARIN, WHICH PROVIDED: ADVOCACY TO 37 YOUTH/YOUNG ADULTS AND COLLEGE STUDENTS; PARENT/CHILD GROUP AND INDIVIDUAL THERAPY TO 90 NON-ABUSING PARENTS AND 34 CHILDREN; AND LEADERSHIP ENGAGEMENT ACTIVITIES TO 52 YOUTH AND YOUNG ADULTS AS INTERNS/VOLUNTEERS IN SHAPING SERVICES FOR YOUTH. 7. CENTER FOR DOMESTIC PEACE ALSO ADVANCES COMMUNITY RESPONSIVENESS TO DOMESTIC VIOLENCE BY TRAINING AND COORDINATING PROFESSIONALS FROM VARIOUS SECTORS WITHIN MULTIPLE SYSTEMS. IN FY 20/21, WE CONDUCTED 244 TRAINING EVENTS, WHICH REACHED 4,086 INDIVIDUALS (YOUTH/YOUNG ADULTS AND THEIR SERVICE PROVIDERS, SCHOOL ADMINISTRATORS AND EDUCATORS, PROVIDERS IN UNDERSERVED COMMUNITIES, COUNTY GOVERNMENT PERSONNEL, LAW ENFORCEMENT, MEDICAL AND MENTAL HEALTH PRACTITIONERS, C4DP VOLUNTEERS, AND OTHER COMMUNITY MEMBERS). C4DP ALSO PROVIDED OUTREACH AND EDUCATION AT 60 SEPARATE EVENTS THAT REACHED A MINIMUM OF 4,456 PEOPLE FROM THROUGHOUT THE COMMUNITY. SOCIAL MEDIA HAD A REACH OF 209,896 (NOT INCLUDING YOUTH CHANNELS).
