PPPSGV IS ONE OF THE OLDEST AFFILIATES IN THE PLANNED PARENTHOOD FEDERATION OF AMERICA (PPFA), AND OUR MISSION IS TO PROVIDE BROAD PUBLIC ACCESS TO FAMILY PLANNING AND REPRODUCTIVE HEALTH CARE SERVICES THROUGH MEDICAL SERVICES, EDUCATION AND ADVOCACY.

MEDICAL SERVICES: AT OUR FIVE HEALTH CENTERS, WE PROVIDE COMPREHENSIVE REPRODUCTIVE AND SEXUAL HEALTH SERVICES, INCLUDING BREAST AND CERVICAL CANCER SCREENINGS, COLONOSCOPY AND LEEP TREATMENTS, MAMMOGRAPHY, WELL PERSON EXAMS, PREGNANCY TESTS, BIRTH CONTROL, EMERGENCY CONTRACEPTION, STI TESTING AND TREATMENT, HIV PREVENTION, AND ABORTION CARE.
SEX EDUCATION: EACH YEAR, WE OFFER EDUCATIONAL OPPORTUNITIES TO YOUNG PEOPLE, THEIR TEACHERS AND FAMILIES, AS WELL AS TO HIGH-RISK POPULATIONS SUCH AS FOSTER YOUTH AND PATIENTS IN RESIDENTIAL TREATMENT. WE PROVIDE COMPETENT AND INCLUSIVE SEX AND RELATIONSHIP EDUCATION TO MIDDLE SCHOOL, HIGH SCHOOL, AND COLLEGE STUDENTS, AND WE TRAIN PARENTS, TEACHERS, AND YOUTH-SERVING STAFF TO BE KNOWLEDGEABLE, SUPPORTIVE ALLIES THAT CAN EMPOWER YOUNG PEOPLE TO MAKE INFORMED AND RESPONSIBLE CHOICES. ADDITIONALLY, THROUGH OUR WIDESPREAD OUTREACH, WE PROVIDE THE GENERAL PUBLIC WITH MEDICALLY ACCURATE INFORMATION AND RESOURCES ON SEXUAL AND REPRODUCTIVE HEALTH.
ADVOCACY: TO ENSURE HEALTH EQUITY, REPRODUCTIVE JUSTICE, AND COMPREHENSIVE SEX EDUCATION FOR ALL, WE MOBILIZE A NETWORK OF OVER 1,100 GRASSROOTS ACTIVISTS, PARTNER WITH STATE AND NATIONAL NETWORKS, AND WORK WITH LEGISLATORS AND POLICYMAKERS AT ALL LEVELS OF GOVERNMENT.
