STATE NUTRITION PROGRAM FOR WOMEN, INFANTS & CHILDREN (WIC PROGRAM) - THIS PROGRAM PROVIDES FOOD SUPPLEMENT VOUCHERS & NUTRITIONAL COUNSELING FOR WOMEN, INFANTS & CHILDREN.
SCHOOL BASED HEALTH CENTERS - THIS PROGRAM PROVIDES YEAR ROUND COMPREHENSIVE MEDICAL AND MENTAL HEALTH SERVICES TO STUDENTS. THE STAFF INCLUDES DOCTORS, NURSE PRACTITIONERS, REGISTERED NURSES, MEDICAL ASSISTANTS, COUNSELORS, CASE MANAGERS, HEALTH EDUCATORS, AND ADMINISTRATORS. ALL STAFF MEMBERS RECEIVE SPECIAL TRAINING ON ADOLESCENT HEALTH. THE CENTERS SERVE APPROXIMATELY 1,000 STUDENTS PER YEAR.
