BOOK SALES THAT RECYCLE OVER 100,000 BOOKS, MAGAZINES, VIDEOS, CDS AND MORE. THESE ITEMS ARE GENERALLY ADDED TO THE LIBRARY COLLECTION, SOLD OR GIVEN TO THE PUBLIC AND/OR DONATED TO OTHER NON-PROFITS.
CONDUCT PROJECTS THAT SUPPORT THE PALO ALTO LIBRARY, SUCH AS SPONSORING CHILDREN'S PROGRAMS, PURCHASING BOOKS, DVDS AND AUDIO BOOKS, FUNDING THE SUMMER READING PROGRAM, PROVIDING STAFF AWARDS, SUBSCRIBING TO ONLINE DATABASES, OBTAINING NEW PATRON COMPUTERS AND COMPUTER SUPPLIES, AND RENOVATION AND CONSTRUCTION OF THE CHILDREN'S LIBRARY.
