THE SACRAMENTO LITERACY FOUNDATION CONDUCTS THE FOLLOWING MISSION-ALIGNED EVENTS AND INITIATIVES: THE ANNUAL EVENTS ARE AUTHORS ON THE MOVE, WALK4LITERACY, THE BIG DAY OF GIVING, THE COMMUNITY LITERACY MAP AND THE ROLE AS SACRAMENTOS OFFICIAL CONVENER CAMPAIGN FOR THE CAMPAIGN GRADE-LEVEL READING. THROUGH THE WALK4LITERACY AND THE COMMUNITY LITERACY MAP, THE FOUNDATION PARTNERED WITH 18 CHILDREN'S LITERACY ORGANIZATIONS TO ADVANCE THE AWARENESS AND INCREASE THE FUNDING OF LITERACY PROGRAMS. THE FOUNDATION SECURED CORPORATE FUNDERS TO MAINTAIN THE COMMUNITY LITERACY MAP WHICH SHOWS EXACTLY WHERE CHILDREN ARE REACHING GRADE-LEVEL READING AND WHERE THEY ARE NOT.
