THE ORRICK, HERRINGTON & SUTCLIFFE FOUNDATION WAS FORMED TO ADMINISTER A BROAD RANGEOF CHARITABLE AND EDUCATIONAL PROGRAMS FOR INDIVIDUALS, NON-PROFIT ORGANIZATIONS,GOVERNMENTAL ENTITIES AND/OR THE GENERAL PUBLIC. IT IS ANTICIAPTED THAT THESE PROGRAMS WILLBE CONDUCTED PRIMARILY WITHIN THE COMMUNITIES WHERE ORRICK, HERRINGTON & SUTCLIFFE LLPMAINTAINS OFFICES. IN ADDITION TO FURTHERING THESE CHARITABLE PURPOSES, THE FOUNDATION WAS ESTABLISHED FOR THE PURPOSE OF CONSOLIDATING THE CHARITABLE GIVING OF ORRICK'S PARTNERSAND EMPLOYEES. THE CONSOLIDATION OF THESE CHARITABLE GIVING ACTIVITIES INTO A SINGLEFOUNDATION IS INTENDED BOTH TO ENCOURAGE THE MAKING OF FURTHER CHARITABLE GIFTS BY THESEINDIVIDUALS AND TO ALLOW THE RECIPIENTS OF SUCH GRANTS TO RECOGNIZE THE AGGREGATE GIFTSRECEIVED FROM ALL PARTNERS AND EMPLOYEES AT ORRICK.
