OUR MISSION IS TO SUPPORT THE PROFESSIONAL AND ARTISTIC GROWTH OF SAN FRANCISCO BAY AREA MUSICIANS WHOSE FOCUS IS THE SMALL ENSEMBLE.

THE MUSICAL GRANT PROGRAM ASSISTS PROFESSIONAL ENSEMBLES AND INDIVIDUALS IN THE SAN FRANCISCO BAY AREA. THROUGH A COMPETITIVE SELECTION PROCESS, THE PROGRAM PROVIDES FINANCIAL SUPPORT FOR ARTISTIC ENDEAVORS FOSTERING SMALL ENSEMBLE MUSIC IN ALL ITS DIVERSITY. AWARDS ARE GRANTED TO ENSEMBLES, COMPOSERS OR PRESENTERS WITH WELL-CONCEIVED PROJECTS THAT BRING AWARDEES TO A NEW LEVEL OF ACHIEVEMENT. IN ITS TEN CYCLES TO DATE, THE PROGRAM HAS GRANTED A TOTAL OF MORE THAN $746,000 FOR 256 DIFFERENT PROJECTS, WITH A TREMENDOUS IMPACT FOR AWARDEES AND AUDIENCES ALIKE, RESULTING IN A RICH VARIETY OF COMMISSIONED NEW WORKS, PERFORMANCES, AND RECORDINGS.
SF MUSIC DAY IS AN ANNUAL DAY-LONG EVENT THAT SHOWCASES LIVE PERFORMANCES BY SOME OF THE SAN FRANCISCO BAY AREA'S FINEST PROFESSIONAL ENSEMBLES. AUDIENCES OF ALL AGES AND BACKGROUNDS HAVE THE OPPORTUNITY TO EXPERIENCE-SOME FOR THE FIRST TIME-THE EXCITEMENT OF NEW WORKS AND CLASSIC CHAMBER MUSIC REPERTOIRE ABSOLUTELY FREE OF CHARGE.
INTERMUSIC SF SUPPORTS AND ASSISTS EMERGING AND EXISTING PROFESSIONAL CHAMBER ENSEMBLES AND PRESENTERS. - THE FISCAL SPONSORSHIP PROGRAM PROVIDES FISCAL SPONSORSHIP, FREE CAREER DEVELOPMENT WORKSHOPS (ALSO OPEN TO THE COMMUNITY AT LARGE), PERFORMANCE AND EDUCATION OPPORTUNITIES, AND THE IN-DEMAND SERVICE OF ONE-ON-ONE MENTORING TO OVER 100 ENSEMBLES CURRENTLY, COMPRISING OVER 380 MUSICIANS.
