TO INCREASE PUBLIC AWARENESS OF ELECTED OFFICIALS' PERFORMANCES ON ENVIRONMENTAL ISSUES, TO INFLUENCE DECISIONS OF PUBLIC OFFICIALS ON ENVIRONMENTAL LEGISLATION AND POLICY, AND TO ENGAGE IN RELATED SOCIAL WELFARE ACTIVITIES TO PROMOTE AND PROTECT THE ENVIRONMENT.

ADVOCACY AND ELECTORAL ACTIVITY ENVIROVOTERS SUPPORTS ENVIRONMENTALLY RESPONSIBLE CANDIDATES WHO COME FROM COMMUNITIES MOST IMPACTED BY CLIMATE CHANGE AND HELP THEM WIN. OUTSIDE OF ELECTION CAMPAIGNS, ENVIROVOTERS PROVIDES INFORMATION TO LEGISLATOR CONCERNING ENVIRONMENTAL ISSUES AND INFORMS THE PUBLIC ABOUT THEIR VOTES ON THESE ISSUES.


COMMUNICATIONS THE COMMUNICATIONS DEPARTMENT WORKS TO GENERATE NEWS COVERAGE ON KEY ENVIRONMENTAL INITIATIVES, AND PRODUCES ALL ORGANIZATIONAL PUBLICATIONS, INCLUDING ENVIROVOTERS SIGNATURE ANNUAL CALIFORNIA ENVIRONMENTAL SCORECARD, WHICH GRADES THE CALIFORNIA STATE LEGISLATIVE AND GOVERNOR ON THEIR ENVIRONMENTAL AND CLIMATE ACTIONS FROM THE PAST LEGISLATIVE YEAR.
