OUR MISSION IS TO EMPOWER OUR COMMUNITY OF PRACTITIONERS AND PATIENTS BY PROVIDING EDUCATIONAL OPPORTUNITIES, NETWORKING OPPORTUNITIES, AND INTERVENTIONAL RESOURCES. WE AIM TO INSPIRE CLINICIANS TO GIVE WORLD-CLASS CARE FOR PEOPLE WITH LYMPHEDEMA BY PROMOTING BEST PRACTICE GUIDELINES/STANDARDS.

2021 CONFERENCE - THE 2021 NLN CONFERENCE IN BOSTON WAS A LIVE IN-PERSON MEETING AT THE WESTIN BOSTON SEAPORT DISTRICT THAT TOOK PLACE FRIDAY, OCTOBER 1 THROUGH MONDAY, OCTOBER 4, 2021. THE ENTIRE PROGRAM CONSISTED OF 10 SPECIALIZED CONCENTRATIONS OF STUDY AND CLINICAL COMPETENCY. ATTENDEES WHO SUCCESSFULLY COMPLETED THE ESTABLISHED CLINICAL COMPETENCIES WERE AWARDED THE DESIGNATION OF NLN EXPERT CLINICIAN. THIS WAS A NEW PROGRAM OFFERING THAT WE PILOTED AND WAS VERY SUCCESSFUL. THE EDUCATIONAL PROGRAM WAS COMPREHENSIVE AND RIGOROUS AND INTENDED FOR THE ADVANCED CLINICIAN WHO ALREADY POSSESSES A HIGH LEVEL OF EXPERTISE. THE PROGRAM WELCOMED ENGAGED, PASSIONATE CLINICIANS IN THE ETERNAL PURSUIT OF ELEVATING THEIR CLINICAL LOGIC AND INTERVENTIONAL SKILLS. WE WERE VERY PROUD TO INITIATE THE NLN EXPERT CLINICIAN BECAUSE IT DIRECTLY WORKS TOWARDS OUR MISSION OF INSPIRING CLINICIANS TO PROVIDE WORLD-CLASS CARE FOR PEOPLE WITH LYMPHEDEMA BY PROMOTING BEST PRACTICE GUIDELINES AND STANDARDS OF CARE.
LYMPHEDEMA EDUCATION, COMMUNITY RESOURCES & PATIENT SERVICES - THE NATIONAL LYMPHEDEMA NETWORK HOSTS REGULAR WEBINARS ON VARIOUS LYMPHEDEMA-RELATED TOPICS WHERE SPEAKERS WHO ARE EXPERT IN A PARTICULAR AREA OF FOCUS ARE INVITED TO LECTURE VIA A WEBINAR PLATFORM. THE NLN ADDITIONALLY OFFERS A VIRTUAL SUPPORT GROUP CALLED BRAIN CHAIN. THIS SUPPORT GROUP IS OPEN TO THE PUBLIC AND IS A PLATFORM WHERE PARTICIPANTS CAN SUBMIT QUESTIONS, PHOTOGRAPHS, AS WELL AS CASE STUDIES AND ENGAGE IN LIVE DISCUSSIONS VIA A WEBINAR FORMAT. AT THE CENTER OF THE NATIONAL LYMPHEDEMA NETWORK (NLN) SERVICES ARE THE PATIENTS AND THERAPISTS WHO NEED CURRENT INFORMATION ABOUT LYMPHEDEMA, LYMPHATIC CONDITIONS, AND RELATED DISORDERS. TO THIS END, THE NLN PUBLISHES VIRTUAL NEWSLETTERS WITH LYMPHEDEMA RELATED ARTICLES, INDUSTRY RELATED UPDATES, AS WELL AS UPDATES ON CURRENT EVENTS. VIRTUAL RESOURCES TO THE COMMUNITY INCLUDE POSITION PAPERS, SOCIAL MEDIA BLOGS ON FACEBOOK & LINKEDIN, AND AN EXTENSIVE LYMPHEDEMA DIRECTORY OF LYMPHEDEMA TREATMENT CENTERS THAT ALLOW PATIENTS TO CONNECT WITH QUALIFIED LYMPHEDEMA CLINICIANS. ADDITIONAL COMMUNITY SUPPORT IS AVAILABLE VIA AN 800-PHONE LINE AND EMAIL ACCOUNT WHERE INQUIRIES CAN BE MADE. THE NLN IS ALSO VERY DYNAMIC AND LISTENS TO THE EXPRESSED NEEDS OF MEMBERSHIP AND THE COMMUNITY, AND RESPONDS BY CREATING SPECIAL EVENTS.

IN CONJUNCTION WITH GENEROUS INDUSTRY SPONSORS AND A DEDICATED VOLUNTEER COMMITTEE OF EXPERTS, THE NLN PROVIDES A PLETHORA OF MEDICALLY NECESSARY COMPRESSION GARMENTS TO PATIENTS IN NEED.
