DOMESTIC VIOLENCE COUNSELING AND INTERVENTION - THE PROGRAM EMPHASIZES INDEPENDENT LIVING SKILLS, INDIVIDUAL COUNSELING, SUPPORT GROUPS ANDVOCATIONAL/EDUCATIONAL REFERRALS TO REVERSE THE ISOLATION CAUSED BY DOMESTIC VIOLENCE. EVERY FAMILY LIVING IN THE EMERGENCY SHELTER IS PROVIDED WITH BASIC NECESSITIES SUCH AS: FOOD, CLOTHING, HOUSEHOLD SUPPLIES, AND TOILETRIES.
SEXUAL ASSAULT RAPE CRISIS COUNSELING - PROVIDES SERVICES FOR SURVIVORS OF SEXUAL ASSAULT. INTERVENTION AND COUNSELING SERVICES INCLUDE A 24-HOUR CRISIS LINE FOR IMMEDIATE, CONFIDENTIAL PHONE COUNSELING; INDIVIDUAL FAMILY, COUPLE AND GROUP COUNSELING FOR SUVIVORS OF ADULT OR CHILDHOOD SEXUAL ASSAULT; AND PHONE AND IN-PERSON COUNSELING.
COURT APPOINTED SPECIAL ADVOCATES (CASA) - MISSION IS TO PROVIDE SPECIALLY SELECTED AND TRAINED COMMUNITY VOLUNTEERS TO ADVOCATE FOR ABUSED AND NEGLECTED CHILDREN IN LASSEN COUNTY'S JUVENILE DEPENDENCY SYSTEM. A NON- PROFIT PROGRAM UNDER THE UMBRELLA AGENCY OF LASSEN FAMILY SERVICES, INC..WORKING IN COLLABORATION WITH KEY AGENCIES, LEGAL COUNSEL AND COMMUNITY RESOURCES TOGETHER TO ENSURE THAT EACH CHILD'S BEST INTERESTS ARE PROTECTED UNTIL PERMANENCY IS ACHIEVED.
