TO PROVIDE NUTRITIOUS FOOD THAT SUPPORTS PEOPLE IN CREATING A HEALTHY AND BETTER LIFE. THE ORGANIZATION OPERATES A FOOD BANK PROVIDING EMERGENCY FOOD AND NUTRITIONAL INFORMATION TO PEOPLE IN NEED OF ASSISTANCE IN THE COUNTY OF MENDOCINO, CA.

THE FOOD BANK IS RESPONSIBLE FOR THE DISTRIBUTION AND OVERSIGHT OF VARIOUS FOOD DISTRIBUTION PROGRAMS THROUGHOUT MENDOCINO COUNTY. THOSE SERVED AT THE LOCAL SITE AVERAGED OVER 2,317 HOUSEHOLDS PER MONTH, WITH AN ADDITIONAL 2,471 HOUSEHOLDS SERVED PER MONTH AT SUB-SITES AROUND THE COUNTY. APPROXIMATELY 8.096 MEALS PER MONTH WERE SERVED AT SOUP KITCHENS, FOOD PANTRIES, SENIOR PROGRAMS, SCHOOL PANTRIES AND EMERGENCY SHELTERS THROUGHOUT MENDOCINO COUNTY. THE FOOD BANK DISTRIBUTED APPROXIMATELY 1,852,752 MILLION POUNDS OF FOOD IN 2021.
