OVERALL PROGRAM SERVICES FALL INTO FOUR MAJOR AREAS: APPELLATE, LEGISLATIVE, RESEARCH, AND COMMUNICATION. ACTIVITIES INCLUDE LEGAL RESEARCH AND AMICUS BRIEF SUBMISSION RELATED TO LIABILITY AND CIVIL PROCEDURES ISSUES; ANALYSIS AND DEVELOPMENT OF LEGISLATIVE PROPOSALS IN ORDER TO INFORM ASSOCIATION MEMBERS, THE PUBLIC, AND POLICY MAKERS ON THE EFFECT OF PROPOSED LEGISLATION ON THE GOAL OF IMPROVING THE CIVIL JUSTICE SYSTEM; RESEARCH ON THE ECONOMIC AND JUDICIAL SYSTEM IMPACT OF STATUTES AND CASE DECISIONS; INFORMING THE PUBLIC ON THE IMPORTANCE OF A FAIR CIVIL JUSTICE SYSTEM.
