Describe the Organization's Program Activity:

Part 3 - Line 4a

CDAA HOSTS MANY LIVE TRAINING EVENTS, DISTANCE LEARNINGS, AND WEBINARS EACH YEAR ON A VARIETY OF PROSECUTION-RELATED TOPICS. OUR SPECIALIZED CALIFORNIA STATE BAR MCLE-ACCREDITED SEMINARS OFFER GENERAL AND SPECIALIZED SEMINARS TO PROSECUTORS AND LAW ENFORCEMENT PERSONNEL. CDAA SEMINARS PROVIDE INTENSIVE TRAINING TO THOUSANDS OF PROSECUTORS, PEACE OFFICERS, AND ALLIED PROFESSIONALS EACH YEAR. AS RESTRICTIONS HAVE LOOSENED AROUND THE WORLDWIDE PANDEMIC, CDAA HAS RETURNED TO A FULLER COMPLEMENT OF IN-PERSON TRAININGS, WHILE ALSO CONTINUING TO PROVIDE TRAINING UNDER THE DISTANCE LEARNING MODEL. THESE DUAL TRAINING MODELS ALLOW CDAA TO MAXIMIZE OUR ABILITY TO PROVIDE TRAINING AND EDUCATION THROUGHOUT THE YEAR.

VIOLENCE AND ABUSE ARE BOTH CRIMINAL JUSTICE AND PUBLIC HEALTH PRIORITIES. THE CALIFORNIA CLINICAL FORENSIC MEDICAL TRAINING CENTER (CCFMTC) PROJECT IS DEDICATED TO BUILDING EXPERTISE AND A STRONG COLLABORATION THAT BRINGS TOGETHER THE DISCIPLINES OF NURSING, MEDICINE, CRIMINAL AND JUVENILE JUSTICE SYSTEMS, AND FORENSIC SCIENCE TO APPROACH THESE COMPLEX PROBLEMS AND TO IMPROVE THE HEALTHCARE RESPONSE TO VICTIMS OF INTERPERSONAL VIOLENCE.
