TO MAINTAIN AND IMPROVE THE FACILITY AND SERVICES OF THE PUBLIC LIBRARY AND TO PROVIDE AN EXPANDED FACILITY TO GIVE OPPORTUNITIES FOR THE DEVELOPMENT AND ENHANCEMENT OF THE COMMUNITY AND THE LIVES OF THE RESIDENTS.

THE FRVPL SUPPORTS THE WORK OF THE COUNTY-OWNED PUBLIC LIBRARY IN COVELO. THERE ARE APPROXIMATELY 1,500 LIBRARY CARDHOLDERS. STUDENTS FROM THE CHARTER SCHOOL ALSO USE THE LIBRARY ON A BIWEEKLY BASIS. THE FRVPL RAISED FUNDS TO PAY FOR BOOKS, PROGRAMS, CERTAIN SUPPLIES AND IMPROVEMENTS FOR THE LIBRARY. THEY ALSO SUPPLY VOLUNTEERS TO HELP WITH VARIOUS LIBRARY PROGRAMS. ADDITIONALLY, FRVPL HAS PURCHASED PROPERTY AND BUILT A NEW LIBRARY. THEY HAVE RAISED FUNDS AND OBTAINED GRANTS TO PAY ALL THE ASSOCIATED COSTS. THEY CURRENTLY ADMINISTER COMMUNITY BUILDING USES.
