EDEN I & R, INC. IS THE DESIGNATED PROVIDER OF 2-1-1 FOR ALAMEDA COUNTY. 2-1-1 IS THE FREE, 3-DIGIT TELEPHONE NUMBER THAT PROVIDES 24/7, MULTILINGUAL ACCESS TO HEALTH, HOUSING AND HUMAN SERVICE INFORMATION FOR ALAMEDA COUNTY RESIDENTS AND EMPLOYEES. THROUGH A PARTNERSHIP WITH THE ALAMEDA COUNTY SHERIFFS OFFICE, 2-1-1 ALSO PROVIDES INFORMATION TO THE PUBLIC AS IT IS UPDATED IN THE EVENT OF A DISASTER. 2-1-1 PROVIDES INFORMATION TO CALLERS AND VIA TWO-WAY TEXT MESSAGING FROM A DATABASE CONTAINING MORE THAN 2,500 SOCIAL SERVICE PROGRAMS AND A DATABASE CONTAINING MORE THAN 79,000 HOUSING UNITS. 2-1-1 ALSO PROVIDES PROACTIVE OUTREACH TO MAKE CALLERS AWARE OF A VARIETY OF PROGRAMS THAT MIGHT BENEFIT THEM INCLUDING PUBLIC BENEFITS. IN FISCAL YEAR 2021/22, 2-1-1 ASSISTED INDIVIDUALS AND FAMILIES THROUGH NEARLY 82,000 CALLS AND TW0-WAY TEXTS.


TRANSPORTATIONTHE ORGANIZATION PROVIDES COORDINATED MOBILITY MANAGEMENT INCLUDING DETAILED AND TARGETED TRANSPORTATION RECOMMENDATIONS FOR SENIORS AND THOSE LIVING WITH DISABILITIES.
