THE MISSION OF JEWISH SILICON VALLEY IS TO HARNESS THE POWER OF COMMUNITY TO IMPROVE LIVES, BUILD BRIDGES OF UNDERSTANDING AND STRENGTHEN THE JEWISH PEOPLE HERE, IN ISRAEL, AND AROUND THE WORLD.

YOUTH & FAMILY ENGAGEMENTJSV'S APJCC SERVES VERY YOUNG CHILDREN, AGES 1.5 YEARS TO 5 YEARS OLD, IN ITS EARLY CHILDHOOD EDUCATION PROGRAMS, INCLUDING FULL DAY PRESCHOOL AND SUMMER CAMP. THE PRESCHOOL OFFERS A PLAY-BASED CURRICULUM, BASED IN JEWISH VALUES, THAT HELPS TO PREPARE CHILDREN FOR KINDERGARTEN AND BEYOND. APJCC EARLY CHILDHOOD PROGRAMS WELCOME CHILDREN OF ALL BACKGROUNDS AND BELIEFS. THE PRESCHOOL IS LICENSED BY THE STATE OF CALIFORNIA AND MEETS LICENSING REQUIREMENTS. SUMMER CAMP INCLUDES A RANGE OF ACTIVITIES, SUCH AS SWIMMING, OUTDOOR PLAY AND ARTS AND CRAFTS. JSV'S APJCC ALSO SERVES SCHOOL-AGE CHILDREN WITH ITS SUMMER, SPRING, WINTER BREAK AND MINI DAY CAMPS, ALONG WITH VARIOUS YOUTH ENRICHMENT, YOUTH SPORTS PROGRAMS, AND AFTER SCHOOL ACTIVITIES. PROGRAMS INCLUDE HEBREW LANGUAGE CLASSES, SOCCER, BASKETBALL, TENNIS, GYMNASTICS, YOGA, AND MORE. ALL CHILDREN ARE WELCOME TO ATTEND, AND PROGRAMS DESIGNED FOR CHILDREN WITH SPECIAL NEEDS ARE A KEY COMPONENT OF OUR OFFERINGS.JSV ALSO SUPPORTS FAMILIES WITH YOUNG CHILDREN THROUGH ITS PARENT SUPPORT GROUPS, BABY PLAY GROUPS, PJ LIBRARY, AND SHALOM BABY PROGRAMS THAT ARE LOCATED BOTH IN OUR ONSITE JSV FAMILY CENTER AND HOSTED IN VARIOUS LOCATIONS AROUND THE LOCAL COMMUNITY. PJ LIBRARY IS FUNDED IN PART BY A GRANT FROM THE HAROLD GRINSPOON FOUNDATION, A NORTH AMERICAN JEWISH NON-PROFIT ORGANIZATION CREATED AS A JEWISH ENGAGEMENT AND LITERACY PROGRAMS FOR JEWISH FAMILIES WITH YOUNG CHILDREN.
HEALTHY AGING AND WELLNESS (HEALTH & WELLNESS)THE APJCC'S WELLNESS OFFERINGS INCLUDE A FITNESS CENTER, AQUATICS CENTER AND GYMNASIUM THAT OFFER SPORTS, HEALTH, AND FITNESS PROGRAMMING ALONG WITH ANCILLARY SERVICES SUCH AS PILATES AND PERSONAL TRAINING. SWIMMING LESSONS, AQUA-FIT CLASSES, LIFEGUARD TRAINING, AND SWIM TEAM PROGRAMS ARE OFFERED YEAR-ROUND IN THE AQUATICS CENTER. PROGRAMS ARE OPEN TO THE ENTIRE COMMUNITY AND PEOPLE OF ALL AGESJSV'S "HEALTHY AGING" PROGRAMS SERVE PEOPLE 60 YEARS OLD AND OVER, AND ARE DESIGNED TO SUPPORT THEIR SOCIAL, EMOTIONAL, SPIRITUAL AND PHYSICAL WELL-BEING.
