UNITED HEALTH CENTERS OF THE SAN JOAQUIN VALLEY (UHC) IS LICENSED AS A FEDERALLY QUALIFIED HEALTH CENTER (FQHC) AND PROVIDES PATIENT CARE AT SEVERAL OUTPATIENT CENTERS IN THE CENTRAL SAN JOAQUIN VALLEY IN CALIFORNIA. UHC PROVIDES MEDICAL, DENTAL, OPTOMETRY, AND OTHER SUPPORTIVE HEALTH SERVICES TO A LARGELY MEDICALLY UNDERSERVED POPULATION. THE WOMEN, INFANTS, AND CHILDREN (WIC) PROGRAM PROVIDES SUPPLEMENTAL FOODS, NUTRITION EDUCATION AND REFERRALS TO HEALTH CARE, AT NO COST, TO LOW-INCOME PREGNANT, BREASTFEEDING AND POSTPARTUM WOMEN, INFANTS, AND CHILDREN UP TO AGE 5 WHO ARE DETERMINED TO BE A NUTRITIONAL RISK.
