TO PROVIDE RECREATIONAL FACILITIES AND PROGRAMS FOR MEMBERS, THEIR FAMILIES AND GUESTS. FACILITIES ARE A POOL, TENNIS COURTS, AND A CLUB HOUSE. PROGRAMS INCLUDE ADULT AND YOUTH EVENTS FOR WHICH THE FACILITIES ARE USED.

PROVIDED HEALTH PROMOTING ACTIVITIES FOR SWIM TEAM PARTICIPANTS. EACH YEAR, OVER 175 MEMBER CHILDREN PARTICIPATE IN THE EICHLER GATORS SWIM TEAM PROGRAM. THE COACHES RUN PRACTICES FIVE DAYS A WEEK RANGING IN TIME FROM ONE HALF HOUR FOR THE YOUNGEST SWIMMERS TO ONE HOUR FOR THE OLDEST AGE GROUP. SWIMMERS ARE GIVEN INSTRUCTION IN STROKE TECHNIQUE AND PARTICIPATE IN WORKOUT SETS THAT IMPROVE STRENGTH AND ENDURANCE. ALL SWIMMERS, REGARDLESS OF ABILITY, ARE ENCOURAGED TO IMPROVE THEIR SWIMMING TECHNIQUE, ACHEIVE THEIR PERSONAL BEST AND DEVELOP SWIMMING AS A LIFELONG ACTIVITY.
PROVIDED HEALTH PROMOTING COMPETITIONS FOR SWIM TEAM PARTICIPANTS. EICHLER GATORS SWIM TEAM IS A MEMBER OF THE JUNIPERO SERRA SWIM LEAGUE (JSSL). THIS IS A COMPETITIVE LEAGUE COMPRISED OF SIX LOCAL NEIGHBORHOOD COMMUNITY CLUBS GEOGRAPHICALLY SIMILAR TO EICHLER. DURING THE SWIM SEASON THE EICHLER GATORS SWIM AGAINST EACH OF THE JSSL SWIM TEAMS ONCE IN A DUAL MEET. SWIMMERS COMPETE AGAINST OTHERS OF THE SAME GENDER AND AGE GROUP. EVERY MEMBER OF THE TEAM HAS THE OPPORTUNITY TO COMPETE IN THREE DIFFERENT SWIM STROKES. THE SEASON CULMINATES IN A DAY-LONG CHAMPIONSHIP MEET IN WHICH ALL TEAMS WILL COMPETE TOGETHER.
PROVIDED RECREATIONAL ACTIVITIES FOR MEMBERS. EICHLER SWIM & TENNIS CLUB IS OPEN YEAR-ROUND AND OFFERS A BROAD RANGE OF RECREATIONAL, LEISURE, SOCIAL AND COMPETITIVE ACTIVITIES FOR MEMBERS OF ALL AGES. THE POOL CAN BE DIVIDED BY LANE LINES TO ACCOMMODATE BOTH LAP SWIMMERS AND CHILDREN WHO ARE PARTICIPATING IN A SWIM PROGRAM OR JUST PLAYING IN THE WATER. THERE ARE FOUR TENNIS COURTS PROVIDING AMPLE OPPORTUNITIES FOR MEMBERS AT ALL LEVELS OF ABILLITY TO GET COURT TIME. MEMBERS ALSO HAVE THE OPTION OF TAKING PRIVATE SWIM OR TENNIS LESSONS FROM QUALIFIED AND EXPERIENCED STAFF MEMBERS.
