AS CHILDREN ENTER THE PROGRAM, THE GOAL IS TO TRAIN THEM USING THE BEST POSSIBLE TECHNIQUES. THE END GOAL FOR THE PROGRAM IS THAT THE CHILDREN BECOME EXCELLENT SWIMMERS WHO CAN COMPETITIVELY COMPETE IN SWIM MEETS SHOULD THEY CHOOSE. THE FIRST STEP IS TO TEACH SWIMMING SKILLS TO AVOID BAD HABITS DURING THE ENTRY LEVEL YEARS.
AS THE CHILDREN MATURE PHYSCIALLY AND TECHNICALLY, THE COACHES WORK ON ADVANCED TECHNIQUES INCLUDING ADVANCED BREATHING, STRENGTH TRAINING, ENDURANCE AND STROKING. THE CHILDREN ATTEND MEETS GROUPED BY AGE AND SKILL LEVELS. THIS SECOND PHASE OF THE PROGRAM IS CRUCIAL TO BEING ABLE TO COMPETE AT HIGH LEVELS TO PARTICIPATE IN HIGH SCHOOL AND COLLEGE PROGRAMS.
THE THIRD PHASE OF THE PROGRAM IS TO PARTICIPATE IN MORE MEETS WITH TEAMS IN THE GREATER LOS ANGELES METRO AREA. IN 2021, THE TEAM PARTICIPATED IN 11 DIFFERENT MEETS. THE CHILDREN WERE GIVEN ASSISTANCE TO CONTINUE THEIR SWIMMING COMPETENCY AND TO LEARN THE RULES OF COMPETITION. THE TEAM MEMBERS WERE GIVEN ASSISTANCE IN ADVANCING TO HIGH SCHOOL TEAMS AND TO APPLY FOR COLLEGE SCHOLARSHIPS.
