THE ROTARY CLUB OF HANFORD IS DEDICATED TO IMPROVING THE COMMUNITY AND HELPING HANDICAPPED CHILDREN AND VETERANS. THE ORGANIZATION CONTRIBUTES TO YOUTH SPORTS PROGRAMS TO PROVIDE YOUNG PEOPLE OF HANFORD AND THE SURROUNDING AREA WITH AN OPPORTUNITY TO PARTICIPATE IN SUMMER SPORTS PROGRAMS. THE CLUB ALSO PROVIDES A CHRISTMAS PARTY EACH YEAR, COMPLETE WITH SANTA CLAUS, FOR HANDICAPPED STUDENTS ATTENDING KINGS COUNTY SCHOOLS. THE FUNDS FOR THESE PROGRAMS ARE OBTAINED THROUGH MEMBERSHIP FEES AND DUES, AND THROUGH FUND RAISING EVENTS SUCH AS AN ANNUAL CRAB FEED AND SILENT AUCTION.
