THE GOVERNMENT AND PUBLIC AFFAIRS GROUP IS RESPONSIBLE FOR MAKING RECOMMENDATIONS TO THE ASSOCIATION CONCERNING ITS POSITION AND THE TAKING OF ACTION ON LEGISLATIVE, GOVERNMENTAL, AND REGULATORY MATTERS. THIS GROUP IS ALSO RESPONSIBLE FOR ANALYZING REGULATIONS AND LEGISLATION TO ASSESS THE EFFECT ON THE INDUSTRY AND TO INFORM AND EDUCATE THE MEMBERSHIP THROUGH COMMUNICATIONS AND SEMINARS.
BOARD AND OTHER COMMITTEES - THIS CLASSIFICATION INCLUDES EXPENSES INCURRED BY MEMBERS OF THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS AND MEMBERS OF VARIOUS COMMITTEES OF THE BOARD THAT DEVELOP RECOMMENDATIONS RELATIVE TO SALARIES, OCCUPANCY, FINANCES, AND INDUSTRY ISSUES.

APROXIMATELY 1,450 BANKERS ATTENDED SEMINARS, WORKSHOPS, CONFERENCES, AND COURSES.
THE REGIONS GROUP IS CONCERNED WITH MAINTAINING A LIAISON WITH THE VARIOUS COMMITTEES OF THE ASSOCIATION ASSISTING THEM WITH THEIR ACTIVITIES AND MAKING RECOMMENDATIONS CONCERING THE EDUCATIONAL AND INFORMATIONAL NEEDS OF THE ASSOCIATION MEMBERS. THE ACTIVITIES OF THE REGIONS ARE TO BE DIRECTED TOWARDS THE SUPPORT OF THE ASSOCIATION SPECIFICALLY IN THE AREAS OF LEGISLATION, EDUCATION, INFORMATION, AND PEER GROUP ASSOCIATION.
