COOS ART MUSEUM IS THE CORNERSTONE OF VISUAL ARTS ON OREGONS SOUTHERN COAST. THROUGH COLLECTIONS, EXHIBITIONS AND EDUCATIONAL PROGRAMS, WE ARE BUILDING AN ARTS AND CULTURAL COMMUNITY AND PROMOTING THE APPRECATION, UNDERSTANDING AND EXPRESSION OF VISUAL ART.

EXHIBITIONS AND EVENTS. ANNUAL JURIED EXHIBITIONS OF EXCITING NEW ART FROM CONTEMPORARY ARTISTS ALL LIVING AND WORKING IN THE WESTERN U.S. MAY DISPLAY THEIR ART. A PERMANENT COLLECTION MAINTAINED BY THE ORGANIZATION FOCUSES ON CONTEMPORARY FINE ART PRINTS AND ORIGINAL WORKS IN ALL MEDIA.
EDUCATION. ART EDUCATION IS ONE OF THE THREE KEY AREAS OF ENDEAVOR ENSHRINED IN THE ORGANIZATIONS MISSION STATEMENT. THE ORGANIZATION PLACES AN EMPHASIS ON TEACHING ART SKILLS. CLASSES AND WORKSHOPS ARE GIVEN REGULARLY.
