BOOKSTORE OPERATIONS - THE BOOKSTORE CARRIES BOOK TITLES AND OTHER MERCHANDISE DEVOTED TO THE PACIFIC NORTHWEST; FROM PRESIDENT THOMAS JEFFERSON AND HIS VISION OF WESTWARD EXPANSION TO THE LEWIS AND CLARK EXPEDITION AND THEIR VARIOUS DISCOVERIES AND IMPORTANT ENCOUNTERS WITH THE NATIVE AMERICANS WHO HELPED THE EXPLORERS FIND THEIR WAY TO THE PACIFIC OCEAN.
EDUCATION AND INTERPRETIVE ACTIVITIES - THE FORT CLATSOP UNIT OF THE LEWIS AND CLARK NATIONAL HISTORICAL PARK IS A DESTINATION FOR VISITORS, TOUR GROUPS, AND SCHOOL GROUPS. THE LEWIS AND CLARK EXPEDITION IS BROUGHT TO LIFE THROUGH MANY EDUCATIONAL ACTIVITIES. THE PARK OFFERS MANY PROGRAMS TO EDUCATORS, SUCH AS THE TRAVELING TRUNKS, EDUCATIONAL FIELD TRIPS, CLASSROOM VIDEO LOANS, CURRICULUM PUBLICATIONS AND A VARIETY OF FORT CLATSOP INSTITUTE COURSES.
