THE FY23 STARTED WITH A SUCCESSFUL EXHIBIT AT THE ARTREACH GALLERY IN PORTLAND, OR, ENTITLED 'POSTING PEACE' FEATURING PEACE CORPS POSTERS FROM 1961 THROUGH 2022. IN THE FALL OF 2022 THE MUSEUM'S MANY FACES OF THE PEACE CORPS FEATURED A VIRTUAL SEMINAR ON DIVERSITY IN THE PEACE CORPS. IN JANUARY THE MUSEUM CONTRACTED A PART-TIME DIRECTOR TO FOCUS ON STRATEGIC PLANNING, FUND RAISING, PROGRAM DEVELOPMENT, AND LEADERSHIP.THE MUSEUM CONTINUES TO GROW AND PROFESSIONALIZE ITS COLLECTIONS.FINANCIALLY, THE MUSEUM SET UP AN ACCOUNT WITH VANGUARD TO ACCEPT STOCKS, MUTUAL FUNDS, MONEY MARKET FUNDS, ETC. THE MUSEUM ENDED THE FISCAL YEAR EXCEEDING ITS BUDGETED FINANCIAL GOAL OF $142,000.WITH THE SUDDEN PASSING OF ITS PRESIDENT, PAT WAND, IN APRIL 2023, THE MUSEUM ENDED ITS FY23 ON A SOMBER NOTE. HOWEVER, UNDER THE GUIDANCE OF ITS DIRECTOR, WHO WORKED CLOSELY WITH PAT FOR 3.5 MONTHS BEFORE HER DEATH, AS THE MUSEUM BEGINS TO SCALE UP IN TERMS OF ITS PROGRAM OFFERINGS, ITS MEMBERSHIP, AND ITS FUNDRAISING EFFORTS, THE MUSEUM ENDED FY23 ON AN OPTIMISTIC NOTE FOR ITS FUTURE GROWTH.
