OUR MOST IMPACTFUL ACTIVITY IN 2020-21 WAS TO FUND THE ESTABLISHMENT OF HIHS 7TH INTEGRATED SCHOOL IN ISRAEL, IN THE TOWNS OF KAFR QASIM ROSH HAAYIN, SERVING THE GROWING POPULATION OF JEWISH ARAB ISRAELIS THERE.

WORK IN ISRAEL. HAND IN HANDS 7TH SCHOOL GREW FROM ONE CLASS TO TWO CLASSES. HAND IN HAND INITIATED ITS RESOURCE CENTER, PROVIDING BILINGUAL AND MULTICULTURAL CURRICULUM AND TEACHER TRAINING TO 12 PRESCHOOL CLASSES OUTSIDE OF THE HAND IN HAND NETWORK, IN COLLABORATION WITH MUNICIPAL EDUCATION DEPARTMENTS. HAND IN HANDS SCHOOLS AND COMMUNITIES LED RALLIES AND PROGRAMS ACROSS ISRAEL TO CALL FOR NON-VIOLENCE AND DIALOGUE DURING THE MAY 2021 JEWISH-ARAB UNREST AND CONFLICT. HAND IN HANDS CEO AND OTHER LEADERS WERE INVITED TO THE ISRAELI KNESSET PARLIAMENT TO SPEAK ABOUT OUR MODEL OF INTEGRATED EDUCATION AND JEWISH-ARAB PARTNERSHIP. DURING THE COVID PANDEMIC, HAND IN HAND CONDUCTED APPROXIMATELY 15 ZOOM CALLS WITH HUNDREDS OF PARTICIPANTS AROUND THE WORLD. HAND IN HANDS SCHOOL IN TEL AVIV-JAFFA ADVANCED TO 6TH GRADE AND ITS SCHOOL IN HAIFA TO 5TH GRADE.
