TO PROMOTE EDUCATION, COMMUNITY, HEALTH AND LIFE LITERACY THROUGH NUMEROUS PROGRAMS INCLUDING YOUTH AND ADULT TUTORING, PARENTING CLASSES, AFTER-SCHOOL ACTIVITIES, SUMMER CAMPS, A CLOTHING BANK, FREE MEALS AND MORE.

SEASHORE FAMILY LITERACY IS A MULTI-FACETED ORGANIZATION WITH A DEDICATION TO HELPING CHILDREN, ADULTS AND FAMILIES IMPROVE THEIR LIVES AND COMMUNITIES. SEASHORE OFFERA VARIETY OF PROGRAMS FOR ALL AGES AND INTERESTS. ALL PROGRAMS ARE FREE AND TAKE PLACE AT THE DANOBLE HOUSE CENTER FOR LEARNING BUILDING & JOY GARDEN OR GREEN BIKE CO-OP IN WALDPORT OREGON.


AFTER-SCHOOL PROGRAM: ADULT VOLUNTEER MENTORS ARE PARIED WITH STUDENTS TO OFFER CARE, ATTENTION AND ACADEMIC GUIDANCE. AVAILABLE FOR ALL AGES MONDAY - FRIDAY 3:00 - 5:30. ADULT LITERACY ONE-TO-ONE TUTORING AND FED PREP HELP IS AVAILABLE TO ADULTS AT ALL STAGES OF LEARNING. VOLUNTEER & VOCATIONAL TRAINING - COMPREHENSIVE TRAINING PROVIDED QUARTERLY, INCLUDING CPR, FOOD HANDLER CLASSES, DARKNESS TO LIGHT, MENTAL HEALTH FIRST AID, AND BASIC COMPUTER SKILLS TRAINING.


GREEN BIKE CO-OP: AS IT HAS SINCE THE BEGINNING OF TIME, THE BIKE SHARE PROGRAM WORKS ON THE HONOR SYSTEM. IF A BIKE IS TIED UP WITH A YELLOW ROPE, IT IS IN USE. IF IT IS UNTIED, IT IS FREE TO USE. ANYONE CAN USE THE BIKE AS LONG AS THEY NEED IT AND WHEN FINISHED THEY CAN RETURN IT TO THE GREEN BIKE CO-OP SHOP IN TOWN OR LEAVE IT IN A PUBLIC LOCATION.
