GOLF-RELATED ACTIVITIES. THE CHILDRENS COURSE IS A PART OF A CHAPTER OF THE NATIONAL ORGANIZATION, THE FIRST TEE, CALLED THE FIRST TEE OF GREATER PORTLAND. THROUGH THE FIRST TEE OF GREATER PORTLAND, WE OFFER CLASSES FOR CHILDREN AT EIGHT PROGRAM LOCATIONS THROUGHOUT PORTLAND METRO AND EUGENE.THE FIRST TEE ORGANIZATION PROVIDES YOUNG PEOPLE WITH CHARACTER-BUILDING AND LIFE SKILLS LESSONS USING GOLF AS THE PLATFORM. THROUGH THE FIRST TEE, YOUNG PEOPLE DISCOVER HOW SKILLS ESSENTIAL TO SUCCESS ON A GOLF COURSE CAN ALSO HELP THEM FLOURISH IN LIFE.THE MISSION OF THE CHILDRENS COURSE IS TO PROVIDE AND MAINTAIN A FACILITY WITH THE PRIMARY FOCUS OF PROVIDING CHILDREN, PARTICULARLY UNDERPRIVILEGED, AT-RISK, LOW-TO-MODERATE INCOME, AND SPECIAL NEEDS YOUTH, THE OPPORTUNITY TO PARTICIPATE IN EDUCATIONAL PROGRAMS THAT BUILD CHARACTER, INSTILL LIFE-ENHANCING VALUES AND PROMOTE HEALTHY CHOICES THROUGH THE GAME OF GOLF.
