THE ORGANIZATION'S MISSION IS TO SUPPORT AND STRENGTHEN OUR MEMBERS THROUGH ADVOCACY, COMMUNICATIONS, PEER LEARNING, AND BEST PRACTICES DEVELOPMENT. MEMBERS PROVIDE HOUSING AND ECONOMIC OPPORTUNITIES FOR WORKING FAMILIES, PEOPLE WITH DISABILITIES, AND SENIORS.

INDUSTRY SUPPORT THE ORGANIZATION PROVIDES OUR MEMBERS WITH BEST PRACTICE DEVELOPMENT, TRAINING AND TECHNICAL ASSISTANCE AND PEER NETWORKING. WE CONVENE THREE PEER GROUPS: MULTIFAMILY HOUSING DEVELOPMENT; PROPERTY AND ASSET MANAGEMENT; AND RESIDENT SERVICES. WE ALSO HOLD AN ANNUAL INDUSTRY SUPPORT CONFERENCE AND OTHER WORKSHOPS AS FEASIBLE THROUGHOUT THE YEAR.PUBLIC POLICY AND ADVOCACY THE ORGANIZATION ADVOCATES FOR AND COORDINATES POLICY EFFORTS THROUGH A RURAL POLICY COUNCIL AND PORTLAND METRO POLICY COUNCIL FOR OUR MEMBER ORGANIZATIONS DEVELOPING RECOMMENDATIONS TO GOVERNMENT AND REGULATORY AGENCIES, COORDINATING ADVOCACY FOR INCREASED FUNDING FOR AND AGAINST POLICIES HARMFUL TO AFFORDABLE HOUSING DEVELOPMENT. WE COORDINATE CLOSELY WITH PUBLIC AND PRIVATE INDUSTRY PARTNERS INCLUDING THE OREGON HOUSING ALLIANCE.COMMUNICATIONS THE ORGANIZATION GIVES OUR MEMBERS UP-TO-DATE, INDUSTRY-SPECIFIC INFORMATION ON REGULATIONS AND POLICIES THAT WILL AFFECT THEIR WORK; AS WELL AS, FUNDING AND TRAINING OPPORTUNITIES, NEW RESEARCH, INDUSTRY EVENTS, TRENDS AND STATEWIDE NEWS. WE DO THIS THROUGH A COMPREHENSIVE NEWSLETTER, E-LISTS, AND WEBSITE CONTENT.
