CYCLING PROGRAMS: MEMBER SERVICES AND GOVERNANCE-OBRA SERVES AS THE GOVERNING BODY FOR OREGON AMATEUR BICYCLE RACING. THEY PROMOTE AND OVERSEE COMPETITION, RULES AND REGUALATIONS, SET FEES FOR RIDERS AND RACE ORGANIZERS. ISSUE AND REGULATE PRINTED NUMBER PLATCES. MAINTAIN WEBSITE AND RACE RESULTS. OBRA PROVIDES BICYCLE RACING ORGANIZERS AND BICYCLE RACING PARTICIPANTS AN ONLINE INTEGRATED REGISTRATION SYSTEM. OBRA COLLECTS ENTRY FEES FROM RACE PARTICIPANTS AND DISBURSES THEM TO THE ORGANIZERS.
CYCLING PROGRAMS: RACE ORGANIZERS SUPPORT/SHARED EQUIPMENT MANAGEMENT - OBRA PROVIDES RACE PROMOTERS WITH ACCESS TO INSURANCE, OFFICIALS, MECHANICS, EQUIPMENT AND MEDICAL SUPPLIES REQUIRED FOR SAFE RACING EVENTS. THESE SERVICES ARE PROVIDED FOR A FEE. OBRA ALSO SERVES TO ASSIST PROMOTERS AND ORGANIZERS IN EXPANDING AND ENHANCING CYCLING EVENTS TO REACH AREAS AND POPULATIONS THAT WOULD NOT NORMALLY BE EXPOSED. ALSO INCLUDED IN OBRA'S ACTIVITIES IS THE PORTLAND VELODROME COMMITEE'S (PVC) TRACK RACING ACTIVITIES. THESE INCLUDE MAINTENANCE AND REPAIR OF THE VELDROME TRACK, TRACK BIKE RENTALS, TRACK BIKE STORAGE, UTILITIES, ETC. THE PVC ALSO PROMOTES VELDROME RACES AND RIDER DEVELOPMENT PROGRAMS. RELATED REVENUES AND EXPENSES ARE INCLUDED IN PROGRAM 4A.
CYCLING PROGRAMS: RIDER AND TEAM DEVELOPMENT-TO TRAIN AND SUPPORT INDIVIDUALS AND CLUBS TO PARTICIPATE IN COMPETITIVE CYCLING. DEVELOPMENT PROVIDES SUPPORT SERVICES SUCH AS CLINICS FOR TRAINING FOR PARTICIPANTS, OFFICIALS, AND COACHES.
