NORDIC NORTHWEST PRESENTED A RANGE OF PROGRAMMING WITH 184 CULTURAL PROGRAMS AND FIVE EXHIBITS. PROGRAMMING INCLUDED FILMS, PERFORMANCE, LECTURES, CLASSES, AND WORKSHOPS FOCUSED ON THE HISTORY, CULTURE, ARTS, SCIENCE, CUISINE, AND TECHNOLOGY OF THE FIVE NORDIC COUNTRIES: DENMARK, FINLAND, ICELAND, NORWAY, AND SWEDEN.A HIGHLIGHT INCLUDES THE INSTALLATION OF A LARGE FREE PUBLIC ART EXHIBIT, OUR TROLL, OLE BOLLE, CREATED BY DANISH ARTIST THOMAS DAMBO. FASHIONED ENTIRELY OUT OF RECYCLED MATERIALS, THE ART INSTALLATION TURNED TRASH INTO A TREASURED TROLL WHO TELLS A TALE OF PROTECTING NATURE AND HONORING OUR LAND. OLE BOLLE ATTRACTED AN ESTIMATED 79,495 VISITORS TO THE NORDIC NORTHWEST CAMPUS. OLE BOLLE'S INFLUENCE HAS SPARKED INTEREST IN EDUCATIONAL PROGRAMMING, WITH NORDIC NORTHWEST NOW HELPING SCHOOLS AND ORGANIZATIONS ARRANGE FIELD TRIPS TO THE CAMPUS. THESE VISITS AIM TO EDUCATE VISITORS ON SUSTAINABILITY AND ENVIRONMENTAL CARE WHILE ENCOURAGING A SENSE OF CREATIVITY AND INNOVATION. OVERALL, THE ARRIVAL OF OLE BOLLE HAS SPARKED A POSITIVE TRANSFORMATION ON THE NORDIC NORTHWEST CAMPUS, BRINGING TOGETHER PEOPLE FROM ALL WALKS OF LIFE TO CELEBRATE ART, CULTURE, AND THE ENVIRONMENT.
