TUNDRA WOMEN'S COALITION PROVIDES SAFE, EMPOWERING SERVICES FOR FAMILIES EXPERIENCING DOMESTIC OR SEXUAL VIOLENCE. WE SEEK TO PROMOTE VIOLENCE-FREE COMMUNITIES THROUGH CULTURALLY APPROPRIATE OUTREACH PROGRAMS, SUPPORTIVE SERVICES AND VIOLENCE PREVENTION PROGRAMS. TWC CURRENTLY INCLUDES A 30-BED SHELTER, A 24-HOUR CRISIS LINE, ADMINISTRATIVE OFFICES, A LEGAL ADVOCACY PROGRAM, A COMMUNITY EDUCATION PROGRAM WITH A VILLAGE OUTREACH COMPONENT, A YOUTH VIOLENCE-PREVENTION PROGRAM CALLED TEENS ACTING AGAINST VIOLENCE, A CHILDREN'S PROGRAM, IRNIAMTA IKAYRVIAT (CHILDREN'S ADVOCACY CENTER), AN ENGAGING MEN AND BOYS PROGRAM, A HOUSING PROGRAM WITH TRANSITIONAL HOUSES, AND A THRIFT STORE.

SHELTER: TWC HAS A 30 BED SHELTER. THE SHELTER SERVED 321 CLIENTS DURING THE YEAR.
CHILDREN'S ADVOCACY CENTER: THE CENTER STRESSES A CHILD-FOCUSED MULTIDISCIPLINARY APPROACH TO INVESTIGATION, PROSECUTION, AND TREATMENT OF CHILD SEXUAL ABUSE CASES. WE RESPOND TO CHILDREN AND CAREGIVERS WHEN THERE IS A REPORT OF CHILD SEXUAL ABUSE TO PROVIDE EVALUATION SERVICES IN A SAFE, CHILD-FRIENDLY ENVIRONMENT. WE STRIVE TO EASE THE TRAUMA OF CHILD ABUSE AND CONNECT FAMILIES TO RESOURCES TO SUPPORT THEM SO THEY CAN BEGIN THE HEALING PROCESS. THE CAC ADVOCATED FOR 224 CHILDREN DURING THE YEAR.
OUTREACH: TWC HAS A COMMUNITY OUTREACH PROGRAM THAT INCLUDES A VILLAGE OUTREACH COMPONENT, A YOUTH VIOLENCE PREVENTION PROGRAM CALLED TEENS ACTING AGAINST VIOLENCE, A CHILDREN'S PROGRAM, IRNIAMTA IKAYRVIAT, AND AN ENGAGING MEN AND BOYS PROGRAM. 142 PEOPLE RECEIVED A COORDINATED COMMUNITY RESPONSE.
