FOUNDED IN 2000, GARDEN VILLAGE PROVIDES A COORDINATED PROGRAM THAT INCLUDES IN-HOUSE BEHAVIORAL TREATMENT AND MEDICAL, SKILLED NURSING CARE AND SOCIAL SERVICES. ALL OF THESE CLINICAL CARE SERVICES ARE PROVIDED IN A HOME-STYLE, RESIDENT CENTERED CARE ENVIRONMENT THAT ALLOWS RESIDENTS AND THEIR FAMILIES TO ENJOY A QUALITY OF LIFE FOCUSED ON NORMAL DAILY ROUTINES AND COMFORTS. WHETHER THEIR NEEDS ARE FOR SHORT-TERM CRISIS STABILIZATION AND REHABILITATION, OR FOR LONGER-TERM RESIDENCE AND PALLIATIVE CARE, EACH RESIDENT RECEIVES AN INDIVIDUALIZED PROGRAM THAT MEETS HIS OR HER UNIQUE NEEDS.GARDEN VILLAGE HAS BEEN RECOGNIZED IN THE INDUSTRY FOR THEIR SPECIAL PROGRAMS FOR OLDER ADULTS AND ARE A PRIOR RECIPIENT OF THE NATIONAL COUNCIL FOR COMMUNITY BEHAVIORAL HEALTHCARE AWARD OF EXCELLENCE.THEIR STAFF HAS BEEN THROUGH SPECIALIZED TRAINING USING THE MANDT PROGRAM, AND INCLUDES A MEDICAL DIRECTOR WHO IS A BOARD CERTIFIED GERIATRIC FAMILY MEDICINE SPECIALIST AND ON SITE MENTAL HEALTH PROFESSIONALS. THE FACILITY HAS EFFECTIVELY BEEN ABLE TO HELP PROTECT THOSE WITH DIMINISHED CAPACITY TO UNDERSTAND AND/OR PROTECT THEMSELVES FROM HAZARDS. SINCE ITS INCEPTION, RECORDS SHOW DECREASED ADMISSIONS TO THE STATE HOSPITAL AND LOCAL HOSPITAL PSYCHIATRIC UNIT AND DECREASED MENTAL HEALTH CRISIS OUTREACH TEAM CONTACTS WITH ELDERS IN THE COMMUNITY.GARDEN VILLAGE SERVED A TOTAL OF 131 INDIVIDUALS IN 2023 FOR A TOTAL OF 30,870 RESIDENT CENSUS DAYS. SERVING 27,947 MEDICAID RESIDENT CENSUS DAYS INCLUDING 10,256 EXPANDED BEHAVIORAL HEALTH SERVICE DAYS.
