TO EDUCATE THE PUBLIC CONCERNING SAFE & PROPER USE OF FIREARMS FOR RECREATION, HUNTING & SELF DEFENSE. TO PROMOTE OTHER TRADITIONAL RECREATIONAL ACTIVITIES SUCH AS FISHING, ARCHERY, BUSHCRAFT OR BACKPACKING.

MADE AVAILABLE TO THE MEMBERSHIP AND GENERAL PUBLIC SHOOTING SPORTS OPPORTUNITIES AT SEPARATE SHOTGUN, PISTOL CALIBER AND ARCHERY RANGES. PROVIDED BASIC PISTOL CLASS. PROVIDED CONCEALED CARRY IN REAL WORLD SEMINAR AND CONCEALED PISTOL LICENSE CLASS. TRAINED MEMBERS TO QUALIFY AS RANGE SAFETY OFFICER. CONDUCTED HOME FIREARMS SAFETY CLASSES THAT INDIVIDUALS PARTICIPATED IN THAT PROVIDED BASIC KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS IN SAFE HANDLING/STORAGE OF FIREARMS. THE CLUB HAS A YOUTH ARCHERY PROGRAM AND HAS TRAINED OVER 200 CHILDREN IN ARCHERY SPORT SHOOTING. THE CLUB ALSO RUNS A JUNIOR OLYMPIC ARCHERY DEVELOPMENT JOAD PROGRAM WITH APPROXIMATELY 65 PARTICIPANTS. 2020 COMMUNITY EVENTS: PROVIDED APPROXIMATELY 100 THANKSGIVING TURKEYS TO ISLAND SENIOR CITIZENS. THE BAINBRIDGE ISLAND POLICE OFFICERS USE OUR PISTOL CALIBER RANGE FOR FIREARMS QUALIFICATION, SAVING HUNDREDS/THOUSANDS OF DOLLARS FOR B.I. IN POLICE TRAINING COSTS. THIS ALSO PROVIDES A POSITIVE INFLUENCE IN COMMUNITY RELATIONS BETWEEN THE BIPD AND B.I. RESIDENTS. ADDITIONALLY, RETIRED OFFICERS USE OUR RANGE TO CONDUCT ANNUAL QUALIFICATIONS IN ACCORDANCE WITH FEDERAL LAWS. MAINTAINING LAKE, GROUNDS AND FACILITIES FOR MEMBERS AND GENERAL PUBLIC TO ENJOY, AND MAKING THE CLUBHOUSE AVAILABLE FOR COMMUNITY EVENTS. IN 2020 THE CLUB HAD APPROXIMATELY 270 MEMBERS , PUBLISHED 12 NEWSLETTERS FOR MEMBERS AND MAINTAINED A PUBLICLY AVAILABLE WEBSITE.
