PARKOUR VISIONS IS A NON-PROFIT ORGANIZATION DEDICATED TO HELPING PEOPLE OVERCOME BARRIERS THROUGH MOVEMENT AND PLAY.

EDUCATION ACCESS PARKOUR VISIONS REACHED OVER 2,000 STUDENTS THROUGH 2,175 CLASSES IN SEATTLE AND 392 CLASSES IN PORTLAND. OUR YOUTH PROGRAMS CONTINUED TO EXPERIENCE A HUGE SURGE IN POPULARITY WITH THE ADDITION OF OUR NEW PORTLAND BRANCH AND OUR SEATTLE PROGRAMS ALMOST DOUBLING IN SIZE FROM SPRING TO FALL. OUR FREE OUTDOOR ADULT CLASSES OFFERED MANY UNIQUE OPPORTUNITIES. OUR WOMXN'S SESH CLASS IN SEATTLE EXPANDED THE IDEA OF WHAT GENDERS, AGES, AND BODY TYPES CAN DO IN PARKOUR. IN PORTLAND, OUR FREE FAMILY PARKOUR CLASS BROUGHT KIDS AND PARENTS TOGETHER TO LEARN PARKOUR SIDE-BY-SIDE. IN SEPTEMBER, KING COUNTY AWARDED PARKOUR VISIONS THE YOUTH AND AMATEUR SPORTS GRANT TO FUND FREE YOUTH CLASSES, ESPECIALLY FOR LOW-INCOME AND YOUTH OF COLOR.
PLAYSPACE ADVOCACY PARKOUR VISIONS ORGANIZED 9 ADVOCACY EVENTS IN THE SEATTLE AREA. WE CLEANED UP LOCAL PARKS AND HOSTED POP-UP PLAYGROUND EVENTS TO SHOWCASE HOW A LITTLE CREATIVITY CAN BRING MOVEMENT INTO AN OTHERWISE EMPTY SPACE. WE HELD TWO EVENTS WITH THE GARFIELD SUPERBLOCK COALITION TO SUPPORT INCLUDING SEATTLE'S FIRST PARKOUR PARK IN THE MORE EXTENSIVE RENOVATION PLANS FOR GARFIELD PARK. IN NORTH AMERICA, WE COMPLETED TWO PARK DESIGNS: MCCAMMON CREEK PARK, OHIO, AND SPRINGBANK HILL PARK, ALBERTA.
COMMUNITY BUILDING PARKOUR VISIONS FISCALLY SPONSORED SEVERAL EVENTS THAT WERE CANCELED THE YEAR BEFORE DUE TO THE PANDEMIC. OBSIDIAN GATHERING HELD A SERIES OF ROUNDTABLE DISCUSSIONS ONLINE, WITH PRESENTERS TALKING ABOUT THEIR EXPERIENCES ON RACE, DIVERSITY, AND INCLUSION IN PARKOUR. THE NORTH AMERICAN WOMEN'S PARKOUR GATHERING RETURNED WITH SEVERAL LOCAL JAMS COORDINATED ACROSS THE COUNTRY. PARKOUR VISIONS ALSO WORKED WITH THE SEATTLE COMMUNITY TO THROW A PARKOUR CELEBRATION AT THE PARKOUR NORTHWEST GATHERING.
