PROGRAM SERVICE ACCOMPLISHMENTS CONSIST OF EXPENDITURES DESIGNED TO CREATE EQUITY, ACCESSIBILITY, PARK IMPROVEMENTS AND ENHANCEMENTS, AND COMMUNITY BUILDING. THE BENEFICIARIES OF OUR EFFORTS ARE THE CITIZENS OF SPOKANE AND SPOKANE COUNTY, AS WELL AS VISITORS TO OUR REGION.THE OBJECTIVE OF OUR GRANT PROGRAM IS TO FUND COMMUNITY DRIVEN INITIATIVES AND PARK DEPARTMENT PROGRAMS THAT ENHANCE PUBLIC PARKS, SUPPORT EDUCATIONAL AND RECREATIONAL ACTIVITIES, AND CREATE EQUITY AND ACCESSIBILITY. GRANTS MADE DURING 2022 INCLUDED THE CONTINUED SUPPORT FOR THE DEVELOPMENT OF RIVERFRONT PARK AND PARK PROGRAMS, FUNDING FOR COMMUNITY POOLS IN SPOKANE, SPOKANE VALLEY, CHENEY AND AIRWAY HEIGHTS, AND AWARDS FOR POLICE ORGANIZATIONS AND THE SPOKANE EASTSIDE REUNION ASSOCIATION.
