TO PROVIDE HIGH QUALITY COMMUNITY BASED CHILD CARE TRAINING FOR LICENSED CHILD CARE PROVIDERS AND CHILD DEVELOPMENT ASSOCIATE TRAINING. TO PROVIDE HIGH QUALITY FULL DAY CHILD CARE.

THE COMMUNITY BUILDING CHILDREN'S CENTER PROVIDES HIGH QUALITY FULL DAY CHILD CARE FOR 9 FTE TODDLERS AND 20 FTE PRESCHOOLERS. PARTICIPATING FAMILIES INCLUDE PARENTS WHO WORK ON SITE AT OTHER NON-PROFIT AGENCIES. THE CHILD CARE ALSO SERVES AS AN OPERATING MODEL CHILD CARE CENTER FOR THE TRAINING INSTITUTE.


CHILD CARE TRAINING INSTITUTE PROVIDES HIGH QUALITY COMMUNITY BASED TRAINING FOR CHILD CARE PROFESSIONALS IN THE SPOKANE AREA.STATE TRAINING AND REGISTRY SYSTEM (STARS) - WASHINGTON STATE MANDATES BASIC AND CONTINUING CHILD CARE TRAINING HOURS FOR LICENSED CHILD CARE PROVIDERS. THE ORGANIZATION EMPLOYS WASHINGTON STATE APPROVED TRAINERS.


BLUE PRINTS FOR LEARNING IS ENGAGED IN DEVELOPING PARTNERSHIPS WITHIN THE CHILDCARE COMMUNITY IN SPOKANE IN ORDER TO PROMOTE AND SUPPORT THE EXPANSION OF HIGH-QUALITY CHILDCARE. THIS WORK INCLUDES PARTICIPATING IN A COST OF CARE STUDY LED BY THE DEPARTMENT OF CHILDREN YOUTH AND FAMILIES AND A COMMUNITY PARTNERSHIP GRANT WITH THE WASHINGTON DEPARTMENT OF COMMERCE. THE DESIRED OUTCOME OF THIS WORK IS TO FIND COMMUNITY PARTNERS TO INVEST IN AND DEVELOP SUSTAINABLE HIGH-QUALITY CHILDCARE PROGRAMS IN SPOKANE.
