TO PROMOTE AND SUPPORT EXCELLENCE IN THE MUSIC PROGRAMS OF THE LOS GATOS UNION SCHOOL DISTRICTRICT AND LOS GATOS HIGH SCHOOL, AND TO ENCOURAGE OUR CHILDREN TO CONTINUE WITH MUSIC THROUGHOUT THEIR SCHOOL YEARS.

HS MARCHING BAND - APPROXIMATELY 100 STUDENTS SERVED (AND 70+ FAMILIES). MARCHING BAND PRACTICES LAST AROUND 4 MONTHS. LGMB RECEIVES DONATIONS THAT ARE USED FOR EXPENSES SUCH AS DRILL AND MUSIC WRITERS, INSTRUCTORS, UNIFORMS & COSTUMES, PROP DESIGN/CONSTRUCTION, INSTRUMENTS AND INSTRUMENTAL SUPPLIES, COMPETITION FEES AND TRANSPORTATION TO COMPETITIONS, LODGING, FOOD, ETC


MIDDLE SCHOOL MUSIC PROGRAM (6-8 GRADES) - APPROXIMATELY 385 MIDDLE SCHOOL STUDENTS TAKE MUSIC AS AN ELECTIVE CHOICE. MUSIC BOOSTERS PROVIDED THE MIDDLE SCHOOL MUSIC PROGRAM WITH TRANSPORTATION TO EVENTS, EVENT FEES, CLINICIANS, PIANO ACCOMPANISTS, AND UNIFORMS/CONCERT WEAR FOR EVENTS AND MATERIALS FOR MUSIC INSTRUCTION AND PERFORMANCES.


SUPPORT FOR CONCERT ENSEMBLES - IN EXCESS OF 550 STUDENTS SERVED. THIS INCLUDES ENSEMBLES AT MULTIPLE SCHOOLS. FUNDS RAISED ARE USED FOR CLINICIANS, TEACHERS, MUSIC, INSTRUMENTS, INSTRUMENTAL SUPPLIES, CLASSROOM SUPPLIES, ETC.
