THIS YEAR, MORE THAN 200 TRAINED, CARING COACHES SUPPORTED STUDENTS IN 7 EAST BAY SCHOOLS. OUR COACHES COLLABORATED WITH STUDENTS ON CRITICAL THINKING AND WRITING IN SUPPORT OF TEACHER ASSIGNMENTS AND ON COLLEGE ENTRANCE PERSONAL INSIGHT QUESTIONS. MORE THAN 70 OF OUR MIDDLE SCHOOL STUDENTS IMPROVED WRITING AND CRITICAL THINKING SKILLS, AND 98 OF HIGH SCHOOL SENIORS WERE ACCEPTED INTO COLLEGES AND UNIVERSITIES. OUR VOLUNTEERS, MOST OF WHOM ARE RETIRED, ENJOYED MEANINGFUL AND PRODUCTIVE ENGAGEMENT WITH THE STUDENTS.
