WHERE THOUSANDS OF DOLLARS ARE GIVEN EACH YEAR TO YOUTH AND ADULTS WHO HAVE SHOWN A STRONG INTEREST AND ABILITY IN THE ARTS AND WHO MAY, BECAUSE OF FINANCIAL RESTRICTIONS, BE UNABLE TO TAKE ADVANTAGE OF THE EDUCATIONAL PROGRAMS OTHERWISE AVAILABLE TO THEM. GRANTS HAVE BEEN AWARDED TO COMMUNITY EVENTS LIKE THE CARNATION FARMER'S MARKET AND DUVALL FARMER'S MARKET WHERE MUSIC AND ARTISTIC ELEMENTS ARE AN INTEGRAL PART OF THESE EVENTS.
