THE FINANCING CORPORATION PRIMARY PURPOSE IS TO RENDER FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE TO THE WHITTIER CITY SCHOOL DISTRICT BY FINANCING, REFINANCING, AQUIRING, CONSTRUCTION, IMPROVING, LEASING AND SELLING BUILDINGS, BUILDING IMPROVEMENTS, EQUIPMENT AND OTHER PUBLIC IMPROVEMENTS, LANDS, AND ANY OTHER REAL ESTATE OR PERSONAL PROPERTY FOR THE BENEFIT OF THE DISTRICT AND ANY PERSONS RESIDING THEREIN.THE FINANCING CORPORATION CURRENTLY HOLDS A LEASE RECEIVABLE AND RELATED DEBT FOR THE 2015 ISSUANCE OF CERTIFICATES OF PARTICIPATION (COPS). THE COPS ARE ISSUED PURSUANT TO A TRUST AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE FINANCING CORPORATION AND THE SCHOOL DISTRICT.
