COMMUNITY OUTREACH - ADDRESSING PREVENTATIVE BREAST HEALTH EDUCATION NEEDS OF ALL WOMEN AND TARGETING THE HISPANIC COMMUNITY, SENIOR CITIZENS AND UNDERSERVED AREAS IN THE COMMUNITY BY GOING TO CHURCHES, HEALTH FAIRS, CONVALESCENT HOMES, SEMINARS, AND LOW INCOME AREAS, AND PROVIDING COMMUNITY EDUCATIONAL LECTURES. SUPPORT SERVICES ONE ON ONE PEER COUNSELING AND EMOTIONAL SUPPORT FOR BREAST CANCER CLIENTS, GROUP SUPPORT INCLUDES NEW DIAGNOSED WOMEN AND METASTATIC CANCER CLIENTS, AND SURVIVORS MEET TWICE A MONTH. THE BREAST CANCER BUDDY CONNECTION PAIRS NEWLY DIGANOSED WITH SURVIVORS HAVING SIMILAR HISTORIES. SPANISH SPEAKING SURVIVORS MEET PERIODICALY. FREE LIBRARY AND REFERENCE MATERIAL AVAILABLE. SURVIVORSHIP PROGRAMS ADDRESS SUPPORT NEEDS OF CLIENTS POST-TREATMENT, AND INCLUDES SELF-CARE EDUCATIONAL WORKSHOPS OFFERED PERIODICALLY.
INTEGRATIVE CARE THERAPY: INCLUDES REIKI, REFLEXOLOGY, LYMPHEDEMA MASSAGE, AND MEDITATION - A COMPLEMENTARY CARE THERAPY, TO ENHANCE OVERALL WELLNESS, ENERGY, HEALING. REIKI OFFERED EVERY TUESDAY MORNING AND EVERY OTHER FRIDAY. REFLEXOLOGY OFFERED FIVE TIMES A MONTH, AND MEDITATION SESSIONS EVERY MONDAY. LYMPHEDEMA MASSAGE OFFERED TWICE A MONTH.
