THE ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT ALLIANCE OF SKAGIT COUNTY (EDASC) CARRIES OUT BUSINESS ATTRACTION, RETENTION AND EXPANSION AND COLLABORATIVE ENGAGEMENT TO ACHIEVE A PROSPEROUS, SUSTAINABLE AND EQUITABLE COMMUNITY WHILE MAINTAINING SKAGIT COUNTY'S NATURAL BEAUTY AND QUALITY OF LIFE. EDASC'S BUSINESS RECRUITMENT, RETENTION AND EXPANSION INITIATIVES CREATE AND SUPPORT A FAVORABLE BUSINESS CLIMATE, WITH AN EMPHASIS ON SUSTAINABILITY, EQUITY, DIVERSITY, AND INCLUSION.
LEADERSHIP SKAGIT, A PROGRAM OF EDASC IN PARTNERSHIP WITH SKAGIT VALLEY COLLEGE, CULTIVATES A CADRE OF CIVIC LEADERS THROUGH A 9-MONTH CURRICULUM OF EXPERIENTIAL LEARNING. IT HAS BEEN THE COUNTY'S PREMIER LEADERSHIP DEVELOPMENT PROGRAM SINCE 2004, GRADUATING OVER 550 ALUMNI INCLUDING ELECTED OFFICIALS, BUSINESS OWNERS AT ALL LEVELS, EXECUTIVES AND MORE.
EDASC PROVIDES NO-COST AND CONFIDENTIAL ENTREPRENEURIAL AND SMALL BUSINESS ADVISING THROUGH ITS PARTNERSHIPS WITH THE CENTER FOR INCLUSIVE ENTREPRENEURSHIP, SMALL BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT CENTER, NORTHWEST AGRICULTURE BUSINESS CENTER, AND NORTHWEST INNOVATION RESOURCE CENTER.
