FARESTART TRANSFORMS LIVES, DISRUPTS POVERTY AND NOURISHES COMMUNITIES THROUGH FOOD, LIFE SKILLS AND JOB TRAINING.
Describe the Organization's Program Activity:
FARESTART ENGAGED 278 APPLICANTS, ENROLLED 182, AND FACILITATED 117 JOB PLACEMENTS IN 2021 THROUGH THE ADULT CULINARY, YOUTH BARISTA, AND YOUTH CULINARY PROGRAMS. FARESTART DIVESTED THE CATALYST KITCHENS MEMBER NETWORK INTO A STAND ALONE ENTITY IN 2021 WHILE ITS CONSULTING PRACTICE SUPPORTED 70 UNIQUE NONPROFIT ORGANIZATIONS THROUGH NEW PROGRAMS, SCALING EXISTING PROGRAMS, AND PROVIDING TRAINING. IN 2021, FARESTART PRODUCED AND SERVED 1,978,494 MEALS TO THOSE IN NEED IN OUR COMMUNITY.
