TRADE SERVICES: THE FRENCH-AMERICAN CHAMBER OF COMMERCE (FACC) PROVIDES ASSISTANCE AND ADMINISTRATIVE SUPPORT TO FRENCH COMPANIES SEEKING TO INVEST IN OR GAIN KNOWLEDGE OF THE PACIFIC NORTHWEST. SIMILARLY IT HELPS AMERICAN BUSINESSES CONNECT WITH SOME OF THE MOST VIGOROUS FRENCH COMPANIES AND CLUSTERS. IN 2019, IT ORGANIZED A TRADE MISSION IN FRANCE AND SEVERAL TRADE MISSIONS IN SEATTLE. IT ALSO PROVIDED A LISTING OF THE FRENCH COMPANIES IN THE PACIFIC NORTHWEST FOR US COMPANIES TO NETWORK.
THE FRENCH-AMERICAN CHAMBER OF COMMERCE OF THE PACIFIC NORTHWEST HOSTED THE ANNUAL BEAUJOLAIS NOUVEAU WINE FESTIVAL AT THE PRESTIGIOUS COLUMBIA TOWER CLUB IN SEATTLE ON FRIDAY, NOVEMBER 22, 2019 AND ANOTHER ONE IN PORTLAND, OR ON THE SAME EVENING. THE EVENT'S MISSION WAS TO PROMOTE AND FACILITATE BUSINESS OPPORTUNITIES BETWEEN FRENCH AND AMERICAN COMPANIES. ONE OF ITS GOALS WAS TO HELP FRENCH COMPANIES DURING THE PROCESS OF SETTING UP THEIR BUSINESSES AND GETTING THE RIGHT CONTACTS TO SUCCEED IN THE LOCAL BUSINESS ENVIRONMENT. IN ADDITION TO TRADE SERVICES, FACC REGULARLY ORGANIZED EVENTS WHICH ENABLED FRANCOPHILES FROM THE AREA TO HAVE AN INSIGHT INTO FRANCE "CHEZ EUX", THROUGH SOCIAL AND CULTURAL GATHERINGS AS WELL AS NETWORKING EVENTS.
THE THIRD PROGRAM SERVICES INCLUDED HOSTING A FEW EDUCATIONAL SEMINARS, ORGANIZING SEVERAL COMMITTEES ON STARTUP AND TECH COMPANIES, HOLDING THE START UP WEEK MEETING AND AN ANNUAL BREAKFAST.
