THE FERNDALE FOOD BANK WORKS TO PROVIDE A SUSTAINABLE SOURCE OF FOOD TO WHATCOM COUNTY FAMILIES EXPERIENCING FOOD SCARCITY. THIS IS DONE THROUGH IN-PERSON DISTRIBUTIONS AT OUR FACILITY. DURING THE 2021 / 2022 YEAR THE FERNDALE FOOD BANK PROVIDED FOOD TO APPX 26,480 INDIVIDUALS. DURING THE 2021 / 2022 YEAR THE FOOD BANK RECEIVED CASH CONTRIBUTIONS OF 359,095 AND FOOD VALUED AT 1,215,303. ALSO, VOLUNTEER LABOR VALUED AT 118,732 WAS CONTRIBUTED. FOOD AND SUPPLIES PURCHASED FOR DISTRIBUTION WAS 57,410. THE AVERAGE VALUE OF FOOD DISTRIBUTED PER PERSON WAS 48.07 (1,272,713 / 26,480). DONATED LABOR IS VALUED AT 16.69 PER HOUR.
