ST JAMES FAMILY CENTER OFFERS AN EARLY CHILDHOOD EDUCATION AND ASSISTANCE PROGRAM. THIS PROGRAM PROVIDES PRESCHOOL AND SOCIAL SERVICE PROGRAM FOR 3 AND 4 YEAR OLD CHILDREN OF LOW INCOME FAMILIES.
ST JAMES FAMILY CENTER MAINTAINS A SHELTER FOR WOMEN AND CHILDREN WHO ARE VICTIMS OF DOMESTIC VIOLENCE. THE FAMILY CENTER ALSO PROVIDES INFORMATION AND SUPPORT SUCH AS LEGAL ADVOCACY, MEDICAL AND SOCIAL SERVICES, REFERRALS AND COUNSELING WHILE WORKING WITH THE WAHKIAKUM COUNTY SHERIFF'S DEPARTMENT AND PROSECUTING ATTORNEY'S OFFICE.
