Describe the Organization's Program Activity:
Part 3
THIS WAS A YEAR UNLIKE ANY OTHER WE STARTED OFF THE YEAR HOSTING A WALK- A-THON, A FALL BOOK FAIR, KINDNESS ASSEMBLY, SENDING THE 4TH GRADERS TO CAMP WASKOWITZ, HOSTING STUDENT OF THE MONTH LUNCHES, BINGO NIGHTS, SKATE PARTIES AND MUCH MORE. THEN THE COVID-19 CAME, AND OUR SCHOOLS SHUT DOWN CANCELLING ALL THE EVENTS WE HAD PLANNED FOR THE REST OF THE YEAR. WE WERE STILL ABLE TO PROVIDE OUR 500 GRADE-LEVEL GRANTS AND 150 TEACHER MINI GRANTS. WE ALSO VOTED UNANIMOUSLY TO PROVIDE OUR TEACHERS/STAFF WITH TWO ADDITIONAL 100 MINI GRANTS OVER THE TIME OF THE CLOSURE TO HELP WITH SUPPLIES FOR REMOTE LEARNING. WITH THESE ADDITIONAL FUNDS OUR TEACHERS WERE ABLE TO PURCHASE INTERNET SERVICE, WHITE BOARDS TO SHOW WORK, PRIZES TO SEND TO STUDENTS AND EVERYTHING IN BETWEEN. WE WERE ALSO STILL ABLE TO PROVIDE TWO 750 SCHOLARSHIPS FOR LVE STUDENTS GRADUATING FROM AUBURN HIGHS SCHOOLS. WE ARE WORKING HARD THIS SUMMER TO COME UP WITH SOME NEW AND CREATIVE IDEAS TO SUPPORT OUR STUDENTS, TEACHERS AND STAFF FOR THE UPCOMING SCHOOL YEAR, THAT WILL BE STARTING VIRTUALLY.
