ACRS, GROUNDED IN COMMITMENT TO SOCIAL JUSTICE, PROVIDES SERVICES THAT ADVANCES THE HEALTH, WELL-BEING, DIGNITY AND EMPOWERMENT OF ASIAN AND PACIFIC ISLANDERS AND OTHER

THE BEHAVIORAL HEALTH (BH) PROGRAM SERVES OVER 2,530 INDIVIDUALS AFFECTED BY MENTAL, EMOTIONAL, AND BEHAVIORAL PROBLEMS. THE BH PROGRAM COMBINES EASTERN AND WESTERN APPROACHES TO OFFER A COMPREHENSIVE ARRAY OF SPECIALIZED MENTAL HEALTH SERVICES TO INDIVIDUALS AND FAMILIES WITH A TEAM OF TRAINED MENTAL HEALTH CASE MANAGERS, PSYCHIATRISTS, AND PSYCHIATRIC NURSES THAT SPEAK MORE THAN TWENTY DIFFERENT ASIAN AND PACIFIC ISLANDER LANGUAGES AND DIALECTS. BH STAFF ASSIST INDIVIDUALS TO DEVELOP AND REGAIN THE SKILLS AND INDEPENDENCE TO LIVE MEANINGFUL LIVES IN THEIR COMMUNITIES. BH STAFF ALSO PROVIDE DOMESTIC VIOLENCE BATTERER'S TREATMENT WITH EMPHASIS ON ASIAN PACIFIC AMERICAN (APA) ADULTS. TREATMENT FOCUSES ON ENDING THE BATTERER'S PHYSICAL, SEXUAL, AND/OR PSYCHOLOGICAL ABUSEE.


THE AGING AND ADULT SERVICES (AAS) PROGRAM PROVIDED ASSISTANCE IN OBTAINING BASIC SERVICES TO OVER 8,900 LOW-INCOME SENIORS AND INDIVIDUALS WITH DISABILITIES. THE CASE MANAGEMENT PROGRAM SERVED OVER 3,200 HOMEBOUND ELDERS AND ADULTS WITH DISABILITIES ENABLING THEM TO SAFELY REMAIN INDEPENDENT AT HOME, NEARER THEIR FAMILIES AND FRIENDS. THE INFORMATION AND ASSISTANCE PROGRAM SUPPORTS THE WELL-BEING OF ASIAN AND PACIFIC ISLANDER ELDERS BY PROVIDING ASSISTANCE WITH HEALTH INSURANCE, MEDICARE, MEDICAID, LEGAL ISSUES, TRANSPORTATION, NUTRITION, AND SOCIAL ACTIVITIES. THE HOME CARE AIDE TRAINING PROGRAM ASSISTS CAREGIVERS, ESPECIALLY THOSE WITH LIMITED ENGLISH PROFICIENCY, LIVING IN KING, PIERCE, AND SNOHOMISH COUNTIES IN OBTAINING BASIC TRAINING AND CERTIFICATION TO PROVIDE PERSONAL CARE SERVICES TO THEIR CLIENTS (INCLUDING THOSE WHO ARE FAMILY MEMBERS).


THE CHILDREN, YOUTH, AND FAMILIES (CYF) PROGRAM PROVIDES COUNSELING, YOUTH ACTIVITIES, AND LEADERSHIP TRAINING TO 806 YOUTH. THE CYF PROGRAM PROVIDES COUNSELING, INCLUDING BILINGUAL, BICULTURAL SERVICES INCORPORATING EASTERN AND WESTERN APPROACHES, AND YOUTH DEVELOPMENT SERVICES TO CHILDREN, YOUTH, AND THEIR FAMILIES IN THEIR OWN LANGUAGE AND WITH AN UNDERSTANDING OF THEIR CULTURAL VALUES. CYF PARTNERS WITH THE STATE OF WASHINGTON, KING COUNTY, CITY OF BELLEVUE, CITY OF SEATTLE, AND YOUTH-SERVING AGENCIES TO PROMOTE THE SAFE AND HEALTHY DEVELOPMENT OF COMMUNITIES. THE CYF PROGRAM PROVIDES SUPPORT TO MIDDLE SCHOOL AND HIGH SCHOOL YOUTH WHERE YOUTH CAN SAFELY DISCUSS AND LEARN HEALTHY RELATIONSHIP AND BE FREE FROM INTERPERSONAL VIOLENCE.
